She was noticed after winning several beauty pageants like the Miss Chennai contest in 1999, which marked the beginning of her acting career. She made her acting debut in the 2002 Tamil film Jeeva, opposite R. Madhavan. Since then, she has appeared in a number of successful films including Aaru (2005), Gilli (2004), Dishyum (2006), Varsham (2004) and Athadu (2005). In 2010, she starred opposite Dhanush and Ajith Kumar in Venkat Prabhu’s successful political drama film Mankatha. Krishnan won critical acclaim for her performances in all these films. She is going to have a busy 2024 due to her commitments to the various projects.

Born to Krishnan and Uma Krishnan on 4 May 1983, Trisha initially aspired to pursue a career in marine biology, before becoming an actress.She has two elder sisters named Akhila Lakshmi and Jenila Krishnaveni. Trisha graduated with a BBA degree from Stella Maris College, Chennai.[8] After appearing in numerous commercials and print campaigns,[9] Trisha made her cinematic debut with the 2002 Jeeva-starrer Jana.

She was born on the 4th of May 1983 in Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her father, Krishnan, was a general manager at a Chennai-based advertising agency and her mother, Uma Krishnan, was a homemaker. Trisha has two sisters; older sister Revathi is an air stewardess settled in London and younger sister Richa is pursuing her degree in Chennai. Trisha did her schooling in Sacred Heart Matriculation School in Church Park, Chennai and later pursued a degree in B.Sc Visual Communications from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai.
Trisha made her Telugu debut with the film Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu. She rose to fame after starring in the 2004 Tamil film Ghilli which went on to become one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of that year.
